Learning mathematics differently

With Mathia, your teaching assistant, pilot individual or group mathematical activities in your classroom and follow the progress of your students in real time.

Mathia in a few words…

Our ambition is to contribute to making all Cycle 2 students love mathematics. To achieve this, we have co-built Mathia with hundreds of teachers and thousands of students, in partnership with the French Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, within the framework of P2IA.

Customised exercises

Mathia allows students to practice in a playful and repeated way on mathematical skills in Cycle 2 that you will have chosen beforehand. Mathia intelligently adapts the level of the questions to each student's past performances.

The endearing companion of students

An endearing character who gets to know each student throughout the school year. Mathia is a companion that aims to make the student the protagonist of an educational game in which he progresses by collecting stars ! Pupils enjoy an innovative and engaging experience.

A monitoring dashboard

Your dashboard allows you to keep track of everything that happens in your classroom during activities with Mathia. It also allows you to form different groups according to levels and needs, provides you a relevant and synthetic vision of your class' notion acquisitions and allows you to pilot the activities through turnkey courses.

Immersion

Mathia is a unique immersion in the world of mathematics
Students can give their answers orally to Mathia and visualize mathematical concepts in 3 dimensions.

Multi-purpose

For individual, group or collaborative classroom use

Mathia can be adapted to all scenarios: individually in the classroom and at home, or in groups up to 4 students.

Maths from A to Z

Discovery, training or remedial activities

Thousands of exercises allow you to simply make your students work on the skills in the curriculum.

Some examples of activities

Accessible on computers and tablets via our application or from a web browser, Mathia covers 55 key competences of cycle 2 in mathematics (official program 2020-2021 of the French National Education) and allows a follow-up in class and at home.

The ferret game

The ferret game is based on a traditional exercise given by teachers. Children will learn the addition, subtraction and multiplication tables in a fun way.

Le jeu de Kim

Designed by the British writer Rudyard Kipling, Kim’s game develops children’s attention and memory while teaching them geometry.

Kim's game

The game of the hour

The time game, an evolving game to understand the chronology of the day. Understanding the passage of time and reading the time are fundamental skills.

Le jeu de Kim

Directly inspired by the Montessori method, this game aims to develop children addition, subtraction and multiplication skills.

The mental arithmetic game

The galaxy of calculations

In a galaxy far, far away, Pythagoras take children to the planet Calculus to become a mental maths whiz.

Découverte des solides

Consolidating a good grasp of geometry is a sure way to do much better in college. This activity allows children to discover solids, vertices, faces and patterns step by step.

Discovery of solids

Mathia game modes

Mathia offers 2 modes. The “adventure” mode in which adaptive learning comes into play to adapt the games and their difficulties to the child. The “training” mode in which the player chooses the game he wants to play.

Accessibility

Mathia can be played directly from the Mathia website or via the mobile application.

– Available on computer and tablet:

– The pupil’s answers are available through the keyboard, handwriting with the finger or orally :

Mathia is a P2IA winner

Mathia is the winner of the Partnership for Artificial Intelligence Innovation (P2IA) for the mathematics lot, the first public contract in artificial intelligence of the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. Mathia is currently deployed in several academies: Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Créteil, Rennes, La Réunion, Nancy-Metz, Lille and Poitiers.

P2IA develops and provides teachers with pedagogical assistance services for the differentiation and personalisation of learning through innovative solutions based on AI and scientific research.

What teachers think

Mathia, designed by an inspired team, is a real tool for Cycle 2 students to discover, understand and learn important mathematical concepts in a fun and engaging way!

At last, a truly innovative learning software! My students have established a real emotional relationship with this friendly little robot Mathia who follows them, encourages them while adapting to their rhythm, their strengths and weaknesses.

By differentiating the response methods (keyboard, voice and written), by proposing 3D visualisation tools and by allowing students to work alone, in pairs or in groups, Mathia’s Artificial Intelligence allows each child to carry out his or her spatial mission in the world of mathematics.

The teacher can count on a complete dashboard allowing him to follow each of his little astronauts.

What difficulties did they encounter on their mission?

In which areas did they make progress or even excel?

This makes it easier to plan remedial and differentiation activities.
