Kaligo Math is developed and managed by VMPS Corporation on behalf of Kaligo. This privacy policy applies to users accessing the Kaligo Math application and its companion website (kaligomath.education). It does not apply to school users under a public framework contract (e.g., via national education systems).

This privacy policy outlines:

1. What personal data do we collect?

We may collect the following data depending on your use of the app or site:

From the companion website:

  • Device and browsing data (browser type, IP, country)

  • User account data: first name, last name, email, postal address, country

From within the Kaligo Math app:

  • First name and class of children

  • Activity data: answers given, time spent, errors, success rate

  • Anonymised voice recordings (for learning feedback only)

  • Learning traces: exercise names, session timestamps, completion rate

  • Group/team identifiers (if used)

  • Remote session control logs (if applicable)

  • Optional: phone number for delivery of physical materials (e.g., holographic kits)

 

2. Why do we collect this data?

We collect and process data for the following purposes:

  • To provide personalised and adaptive learning paths

  • To improve user experience and app performance

  • To send updates and progress reports to parents or educators

  • To ensure technical and legal security (spam prevention, abuse monitoring)

 

3. Data minimisation

We only collect data strictly necessary for the functioning of Kaligo Math. If a data point is not required for educational or security purposes, it is not collected.

 

4. Who processes your data?

Data is only accessed by:

  • VMPS Corporation’s internal teams (technical and pedagogical)

  • Our data processors, strictly for operational needs:

    • Microsoft Azure (voice transcription)

    • OVH / Cloud-Infinity (hosting and data storage)

    • Brevo (email and communication)

All partners are GDPR-compliant. No data is transferred outside the UK or EU.

6. Where is your data stored?

All data is hosted in France by OVH (2 rue Kellermann – 59100 Roubaix, France).
OVH ensures data security, confidentiality and physical access control.

9. Children’s data & parental consent

We require verifiable parental consent for any user under the age of 15.
We do not knowingly collect identifiable data from children without such consent. All learning data collected from children is anonymised and non-reversible.
